Teen/Adult Muay Thai

Staten Island Muay Thai is Staten Island’s only traditional Muay Thai gym. The sport comes from Thailand and is known as “The Art of Eight Limbs,” for its use of the hands, elbows, knees and legs. Muay Thai helps develop cardio, endurance, strength, flexibility, speed, and self-confidence. It also aids with stress relief, losing weight, and teaching self-defense.

Our class is mixed with teens and adults, beginners and advanced, athletes and fighters. We have designed our program to safely develop skills and ability of all our students.

We focus on Muay Thai kickboxing techniques, pad holding drills, calisthenics, mobility, structure and confidence. Students learn how to hit and hold Thai Pads, controlled light contact drills, the Muay Thai clinch, and work a heavy bag. Hard sparring and fight training are optional and must be approved by the coach.

Whether you’re a beginner or have a martial arts background we are here to give you traditional Muay Thai style of Kickboxing. We help achieve goals whether it is to become a fighter or just train for fun and physical fitness.

If you are not sure that Muay Thai is for you please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. Everyone is welcome to join us. Please check our schedule and come by to try a class!
