Women’s Kickboxing is SIMT’s fitness program designed to create a welcoming environment for women of all fitness levels to learn proper Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and self-defense technique while also getting in shape.
Women’s Kickboxing classes consist of learning how to properly use punches, kicks, knees, and elbows, which are the fundamentals of Muay Thai and Kickboxing; In addition, members will practice these techniques by striking a variety of targets such as heavy bags, kicking shields, Thai pads, and focus mitts. There is NO CONTACT with another student in our Women’s Kickboxing program.
Make no mistake this program is not designed to be easier than our regular Muay Thai program. Muay Thai and Kickboxing training is a high intensity workout that will get you in phenomenal shape, while also teaching you practical self defense techniques that have been tried and tested in the ring and on the battlefield for hundreds of years.
Many women have told us that when they have visited other martial arts gyms, they felt intimidated because they were either out of shape, the only women in the gym, or often times paired up with a more experienced male member who seemed uninterested in working with them. Our program is designed for women of all different sizes, shapes, and levels.
What differentiates our Women’s Kickboxing program from our regular program is that it has no contact and is for women ONLY. So if you are looking to get into shape and learn self-defense alongside other like-minded women in a welcoming and empowering environment, Women’s Kickboxing is for you!
