Muay Thai FIT is SIMT’s Muay Thai fitness program designed to create a welcoming environment for women of all fitness levels to learn proper Muay Thai and self-defense technique while also getting in shape.
Muay Thai FIT classes consist of learning how to properly use punches, kicks, knees, and elbows, which are the fundamentals of Muay Thai; In addition, members will practice these techniques by striking a variety of targets such as heavy bags, kicking shields, Thai pads, and focus mitts. There is NO CONTACT with another student in our Muay Thai Fit program.
Make no mistake this program is not designed to be easier than our regular program. Muay Thai training is a high intensity workout that will get you in phenomenal shape, while also teaching you practical self defense techniques that have been tried and tested in the ring and on the battlefield for hundreds of years.
Many women have told us that when they have visited other martial arts gyms, they felt intimidated because they were either the only women in the gym, or were often times paired up with more experienced men who seemed uninterested in working with them.
What differentiates our Muay Thai FIT program from our regular program is that it has no contact and is for women ONLY. So if you are looking to get into shape and learn self-defense alongside other like-minded women in a welcoming and empowering environment, Muay Thai FIT is for you!
